In this lovely stately home with its landscaped gardens, I shared the conservatory with another artist and we demonstrated our creative skills. Drawing inspiration from the walled gardens and its collection of plants, I dyed fleece and yarn from the plant waste and shared stories with the visitors, who were intrigued by the process of spinning, weaving and dyeing. It was a privilege to spend time in this beautiful place and to wander amongst the topiary bushes and collect materials for sketchbook work, which will be used in future designs.
